The accountant performs a variety of tasks in general areas of accounting. Responsibilities include: providing accounting assistance to the Associate Director; resolving discrepancies; financial or management reporting; maintaining the chart of accounts; establishing new funds; monthly financial reporting, analysis and reconciliation of the development and financial systems.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents
• Prepare profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
• Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for projects accuracy and completeness.
• Communicating with supplier companies to find appropriate material prices.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems
• Compared to expectations with the practical realities within and after work.
• Attend the follow-up of workers in the workplace and the number of hours of work with forman (daily).
• Monitoring the daily working hour for all labors
• Assure that oral communication (both in person and by phone) is relayed to appropriate staff person
• Maintains administrative staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities
• Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence
• Making plan and preparation of meetings, conferences and conference
telephone calls and make preparations for meetings
• Clearance and follow up on all transactions in the company concerned authorities (government, local banks ..... etc.)
• Advertising of the company through legitimate means.
• Oversee daily and weekly maintenance of office machines and company equipments.
• Preparation of all related office files and company achieve.
• Other duties as assigned
Knowledge
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
• This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,
• Two to five years of accounting experience in construction company.
• Spoken and written fluently in Arabic & English
• Computer literate
